The Ember
A downloadable game for Windows
This is my first game I have released!
// I understand that this game is a bit difficult, so I will be updating it soon.
Story:
You fall asleep camping but are awakened by strange noises in the woods. The fire seems to be the only place where you feel safe. You decide to keep the fire alive until morning comes...
Controls:
Walk | WASD or Arrow Keys |
Interact | E or Left Mouse Button |
Flashlight | F or Right Mouse Button |
Drop Log | G |
Play Time:
~10 minutes if you beat the game first try.
KNOWN ISSUES:
-If you happen to open Nvidia overlay the game will not be able to take input
-If your resolution looks bad, go to options, make it windowed mode, click the fullscreen button on the top right of the window border, then go back to fullscreen mode.
-Sometimes when you scare "Roger" he will teleport or will just stop working.
I will be making a dev log on this later...

Though I was unable to beat it, your game is exactly what short format jumpscare horror needs to be. Good graphics, immersive and minimalist sounds, and a difficult but achievable task.
I play your game (and a couple others) and leave in depth feedback in my video below. You can also vote for your game on my channels competition for best indie horror game of january, just go to my channels community page and vote in the poll post. I'll be 3D printing a scene or monster from the winners game to give to the winning games dev.
little bit hard, but it's definitely a very good game. good job.
